We chose Safelite because we were told we could get in on Saturday and then pick up Sunday on our way back into town. We get there Sunday night and the truck is not in the lot and our keys are not in the lockbox (but someone else’s were…). They SENT AN EMAIL saying the appointment was changed to Monday. Not great, but a minor inconvenience. Then today we get ANOTHER EMAIL that it won’t be done until the 31st- 13 days after the original appointment. No telephone call, no text, an email. And all day we have been trying to get a human on the phone, but it’s all automated and does not allow you to leave a message. Do not trust what they tell you for your appointment time!

- JLJason LutzAug 31, 20252.0The work itself was quality work, the technician did a great job replacing the windshield and it looks great. The booking however was...well, garbage. I set my appointment two weeks in advance, knowing full well that my car is relatively "rare" and that it needed a special piece of glass, and special work due to it being a convertible. Instead of sourcing the glass during those two weeks, they instead sat on their thumbs until the last minute before placing the order, and then rescheduled my appointment less than 24 hours before the scheduled time. I had taken PTO for this, since it required me to bring the car to their shop, and expected them to order the glass in time for the appointment date. Instead, the appointment was pushed out a week later. The day before my rescheduled appointment, I got another email indicating that the appointment was rescheduled again, burning even more PTO, and giving my boss the impression that I was some sort of idiot. This time they still weren't sure the glass would arrive on time for my appointment. It was pushed out another day, burning even more PTO in the process. When I arrived, I was informed that my appointment may take longer than what was indicated to me, because there were a lot of customers getting work done that day. Apparently, other customers don't get their appointments rescheduled when Safelite's poor planning impacts their schedules. But luckily, the technician that did the work was able to knock it out quickly, avoiding having me sit in the waiting room all day. To be clear, the technician that did the work did a fantastic job. Safelite's scheduling and logistics however are dullard level incompetent. While the technician did great work, I will be looking at other companies for future repairs because the appointment scheduling nonsense was more trouble than it was worth.
