  For several rentals now, I have rented a Luxury car or premium SUV direct from Alamo, where I am a member. These vehicles are advertised as Audi A4, BMW 3-series, BMW X5, Mercedes GLE. However, Alamo apparently doesn’t have these, so I have been downgraded to an Audi A3, BMW 2-series, Mercedes A-class, or Audi Q3. No upgrade without paying extra and no partial refund for taking the lesser car either. So beware: at Alamo, they downgrade you when they don’t have the class you paid for! I’m done with them and renting from someone else next. And not National or Enterprise as they are all co-owned.

  Booked online 4/5 months in advance, everything was smooth. Pickup at the airport was simple and straightforward. The agent was courteous and professional. The vehicle wasn’t exactly what I was hoping for but it was well within the parameters of my selection so that’s not a problem per se. Vehicle return was about as easy as it could be. The lot attendants I spoke with on pickup and drop off were both courteous and professional as well. I would recommend their service and would book with them again.

  Rented a Toyota Rav 4 for a few days from the Minnesota International Airport. Easy, efficient, affordable, and worth it. The online renting process is simple and prices are fair. The staff that I interacted with (at the counter and in the lot during pick-up and drop-off) were all friendly and professional (thank you Rohah, Jack, and Tan!). They made sure I was all set and could answer any question I had. The return process was also very streamlined. Within five minutes of entering the parking lot, I dropped off the car, returned my keys, and was on my way to catch my flight. I received a receipt via email with no additional charges for cleaning or anything (I returned the vehicle with a full tank and no trash or dirt in the cabin apart from some specs on the floor). First time I rented a car and would happily choose Alamo again!

  Good service although they need to tell customers that the new Jeep hybrids are finicky and fall out of gear easily. Sometimes when you slow down or stop then speed up again they won't go over 40 mph. I took back the first one and they gave me another and the same thing happened. After researching online I found this is a common complaint. Either warn customers or take them off the line. They did give me a small refund as an apology which I appreciated.

  MSP Airport Location - check in a little slow as there were only 3 agents and 1 was tied up helping a customer with a complicated check in. I did try to check in via scan the UPC with your phone and it came back with a “scan not supported with this reservation/location”, even though the poster and UPC code was at the waiting line entrance. Once we got to the check in agent, all went very well - 5 stars for sure. Check in was efficient, the car greeter was friendly & clearly explained autos to select, communication during rental period was timely, and car return process was efficient.
