I have been a loyal member of Mr. Car Wash for more than five years, which is why today’s experience was especially disappointing and stressful. I visited the Mr. Car Wash location on 41st Street NW in Rochester, MN, expecting to receive the interior cleaning service I had requested. Unfortunately, the doors were locked, and I was left waiting for more than 30 minutes without any explanation, apology, or assistance from the staff.
Although there were more than five employees present, no one came to address the situation, communicate the delay, or assist customers. This reflects very poor customer service and a lack of professionalism. In past visits as well, the staff have seemed incapable of properly handling customer service or cleaning vehicles thoroughly. At times, their behavior has even come across as unprofessional and dismissive, and there have been instances where customers were threatened with membership cancellation despite the service shortcomings coming from the staff themselves.
Customer service is a fundamental skill in any business, especially one that depends on repeat customers and memberships. It is not just about completing a task, but about treating customers with respect, patience, and professionalism. Employees should be trained to communicate politely, handle concerns calmly, and take responsibility when standards are not met. Strong customer service builds trust, loyalty, and a positive reputation, while poor service drives customers away and damages a company’s credibility.
As a long-time member, I expected better treatment and a higher standard of service. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, improves staff training, and ensures customers are treated with courtesy, professionalism, and respect in the future.
