  Hi this Rona I had my car in today, they were very honest with me and said it's the starter which my son thought it was something else.They didn't try to add other things wrong to my car, they just fixed what was needed. I am staying with them for sure....thank you guys you are awesome!!!

  Paid $1000+ for front brake replacement but after driving several weeks I began hearing clunking noises. When I parked my vehicle I saw that the left front tire was flat! My brother replaced tire with spare (in -20 degree weather!) & when vehicle was jacked up he noticed that the brake caliper had MISSING & LOOSE bolts!! He tightened remaining bolts so I could carefully drive back to Robbinsdale CarX for repairs. They reattached caliper & John informed me that the brake issue had cracked my wheel rim hence the flat tire. He said they would need to find a replacement. Well a MONTH LATER & after several calls to the shop John left me a voicemail that they had located a replacement rim. I went for the installation & was SEVERELY SHOCKED & DISAPPOINTED when I saw the beat up piece of junk they replaced my original rim with!! When I mentioned to Gabriel-the mechanic who had done the brake job-that they had ‘messed up my truck’ he went into the garage area & obviously whined to Manager John who then came out to confront me with a NASTY attitude insisting that the issues were NOT THEIR FAULT! WHAT?? I trusted them with my vehicle-instead I received additional problems-no apologies, only excuses, a very SUBPAR replacement part & unprofessional disrespectful customer treatment! Bottom line-it was a frustrating & terrible experience!! I’m still upset about it & I would NEVER refer this CarX shop to anyone for auto repairs!!

  John the rude and incompetent manager: I’ve been going to CarX in Robbinsdale for 20 years for repairs to my work van. 7/28/25, I brought it in and met John, the manager for new tires and to find an AC leak. He filled the van with freon but failed to find the leak and said to bring it back if there were more problems. When I went to pick up the van it was undriveable as antifreeze was leaking from the van (it never had leaked before). John refused to take responsibility for the leak and said the radiator must have failed coincidentally while they were working on it. The van had work 4 weeks earlier and John suggested that it was probably damaged four weeks earlier when I had the struts replaced with a different mechanic. I think that’s ridiculous that antifreeze would just start leaking four weeks later when they happen to be working on it. I had questions but did not pursue the issue further and had to pay for a new radiator. The freon continued to leak and I brought it in 3 more times over the summer for the same issue. On September 26th I brought the van in in the morning for the 3rd time and John called back at 3:00 pm told me we’d have to reschedule as they were too busy, even though I had an appointment, and my van had been there all day (cost me $25 in Uber fees for no reason) 10/3/25, I returned for my 4th and final appointment to have the AC leak repaired. After a full day, John explained that they found the leak finally, but that they still would not be able to fix it that day as they needed parts, and he suggested that I get the parts myself as it would be cheaper. I had the feeling John was unable to deal with this issue and was blowing me off. I asked John if he would fill the freon again, as after 4 failed attempts and paying $200 to fix the issue, it was still blowing warm air. John became angry and suddenly hung up on me! I was taken aback and called him back immediately. I said we must have been cut off, and he said stated: “No, I hung up on you, and to be honest I really don’t ever want to do business with you again”. He said I blamed them for the radiator leak earlier in the year (even though I really hadn’t and dropped the issue that day). He said he’d fill the freon again but to never come back! I did get upset and raised my voice and expressed my displeasure with his total incompetence, and rude behavior. I picked up my van that day and the issue I paid for (leaking AC) remains unresolved to this day. I don’t think it was unreasonable to ask for freon again, considering the circumstances. I’ve never been so insulted before in dealing with a business. I suggest you just go to another place for service on your vehicle and save the hassle or risk similar incompetence and rude behavior. (Note: The other “technicians”, were very kind, professional, and nice people. John clearly was the problem). (Post Owner Response addition) 1st: I dropped my van off in the AM, John, your rude incompetent manager called me AFTER THE WORK WAS DONE and told me the antifreeze started leaking AFTER THE WORK! I didn’t stay there during repairs and the van WAS NOT leaking and never had prior to dropping it off 6 hours earlier with your worthless and incompetent workers. So let’s put that nonsense to rest NOW. 2nd: I paid you to find an AC leak. Your idiots are too incompetent to do that so they just kept refilling it (3 times total after 4 trips) because had you fixed it the 1st time, you wouldn’t have had to refill the Freon an additional 2 times RIGHT ? I suggest you and your incompetent boys find another line of business, and that customers find somewhere else.

  I don't normally leave reviews but I just got such great service I needed to. I got new brakes about 3 weeks ago from here, they got them done quickly and reasonably priced. Last night all the sudden I started having some really concerning sounds happening so I sent in a request for an appointment today - John called me right away in the morning to bring my car back in today and they had if fixed within like 20 minutes free of charge. My car is now driving the smoothest it ever has. Great service and great customer service. I will be back.
