- KBKim BOct 26, 20251.0When I have my oil changed they didn't tighten the oil filter and because I did not have my car towed to them they refused to reimburse me and pay for the mechanic bill as I had the car towed to my mechanic to find out that there was nothing major wrong only the oil filter that hadn't been tightened and because my garage had a pool of oil I was supposed to assume that I needed to have it towed to the Valvoline oil place I had no prior knowledge that my oil was leaking until my car sat in the garage park for 5 days we're normally I park in a parking lot were many other cars Park in my car I had to sit in my garage for another 12 days waiting for an opening at my mechanic which by the way is in Princeton I live in New Hope so my losses are a tow bill cat litter to absorb the oil I had to pay someone to drive me up to Princeton to pick up my car and the mechanic charged me 20 bucks to fix a screw that was in my tire which I wouldn't have had to pay for as I go to discount tire for 20 years to get free tire service I am a senior I live on a fixed income and this was money spent that should not have had to be also on that day that I had the oil changed they were short help I waited in line over 1 hour could not leave the line due to all the cars in line behind and next to me they ran out of stickers to put the mileage on your window they put the wrong mileage on my printed out receipt so I had to write the correct mileage on the paper so when I check to see if I need a oil change I know when to come in I am very surprised by the response I got I was assured Valvoline stands behind their service when I went in to talk to the manager and that it would only take a day or so for them to get back to me I waited 5 days to call the manager back at New Hope store he apologized he was so busy that he hadn't had time to get back to me lol a phone call and that I would not be getting reimbursed I intend to go further with this I am totally done with Valvoline oil upon posting this I thought to read the other reviews what's in the past couple months which was the time that I went there there are a lot of bad reviews what's up with that and why should I have put money out of my pocket for their inadequacies at this location I had only asked for my oil to be refunded which was way less than the expenses that I had to put out to find out that's the only problem with my vehicle was the oil filter hadn't been tightened I will be taken this problem in the copy of the other previous reviews that show others have had the same issues with the incompetence of the employees not putting air filters on properly amongst other inadequacies two small claims court this is ridiculous that I had to go this far to make them accountable for what they did and to get reimbursed for what came out of my pocket do not go near this Valvoline and read all the other reviews
