  Let me say my experience with this location was amazing and Ant the manager went above and beyond with his customer service. Any issue I had not only did he fix with amazing hospitality him and his staff were so easy to work with and handled my situation with care and empathy. I would for sure rent with them again.

  I do not recommend this company. If your car is towed, you will have to wait a very long time, even up to 3 days. My car was towed and I waited 2 days for Sixt to contact the towing company and give me permission to retrieve the car. So I was without my car for 2 days and also had to pay for 2 days of towing.,,, At first, I was given a dirty car, so I had to go and exchange it.”

  Landed at the Minneapolis airport this morning to pickup the rental car. Apparently you can’t pick it up at the airport if the reservation is downtown which we didn’t realize. Ask the lady behind counter to change it to there and was immediately told no she wouldn’t try to help us except to try to do a new reservation double the price. When calling this office they were no help except say thanks and you aren’t getting your money. When my sister rented from here a year ago the car smelled like pot, she notified them right away they said no problem but when we turned the car back in they her a cleaning fee. I should have known better than to rent through them.

  I made a reservation for pickup today and chose to pay with my debit card, as the company’s website indicated that debit cards are accepted. Upon arriving at the airport location where my reservation was made, I was informed that debit cards are not accepted there. I was then instructed to change my reservation to the downtown Minneapolis location. I contacted customer care and spoke with Mohammed, who explained which documents would be required. I asked if he could please call the downtown location to confirm the requirements since I would be taking an Uber there. He did so, and they verified the information. Shortly after, I received a call from the downtown location, and they again listed the required documents.I went home to gather everything they requested. However, when I arrived at the downtown Minneapolis office, the representative immediately asked for my driver’s license and credit card, stating they could not accept my debit card because it was not from a “local bank.” I have never heard of such a restriction — my bank is reputable, secure, and I’ve been with them for over eight years without any issues. When I mentioned this, the representative changed his explanation and said they only accept a utility bill as proof of address. I provided that as well, yet he still refused to process the rental and made no genuine effort to assist. Overall, I was given inconsistent and misleading information from multiple Sixt representatives, which resulted in wasted time, unnecessary Uber expenses, and a very frustrating experience.

  Sixt is a scam. Lack of communication has caused my trip to be canceled and money for booking not returned. Do not rent from these people.
