I stopped into the valvoline for a simple oil change...well what I thought was going to be simple. I had to show the technician how to evac the oil from my car after my skid plates were already removed. After being at the valvoline for upwards of an hour and a half I finally embarked on my journey home. About ten miles down the road my underbody skid plate had come undone from the underneath of my car. At that point I had to stop on the side of the interstate to assess the issue. I looked underneath my car with a flashlight because at this point it was dark and people were passing me at 75 plus feet from my face. From what I assessed it looked like the felt type skid plate was dragging on the ground and what looked like my bumper was now misaligned due to missing the structural integrity of the underbody plastic. I proceeded to call Valvoline customer care and was notified that they couldn't contact the store nor could they offer me any sort of help. At that point I tried to limp my car to the next exit in Forest Lake, MN. When I arrived there I confirmed my initial assessment of the damage and tried calling customer care again. At that point I spoke with Kim from customer service that was nice enough to start a claim for me and notified me that there was record of this incident. I then had a friend drive a couple hours to forest lake with a jack and tools so that I could remove the underbody plastic and continue my drive home. This was intended to be a quick stop at Valvoline and turned into my pets being left in their crates for upwards of 12 hours and caused over a thousand dollars in damage to my vehicle. Having multiple employees take a break and leaving a couple to fend for themselves during a busy time was also extremely rude and frankly teaching someone about different tools and different hardware on the bottom of my vehicle doesn't give the customer the reassurance that things are going to be completed correct. I have yet to diagnose if my drain plug is indeed rounded out but by the sounds of impacts at full torque on the bottom of my vehicle...I'm honestly afraid to look at what kind of mechanical damage has been done to my vehicle. This has not only solidified my desire to never step foot near a valvoline again. My hopes is that this is made right, but I have a hard time accepting that I paid for this oil change after all of this has happened.

I’ve been to this location several times, and it remains the best experience. They have good coupons and specials, plus the service is fast and easy, I don’t even have to get out of my car. Usually start to finish it takes about 15 minutes. Plus the oil works great in my car, and I always maintain top mileage afterward.
