Numerous times he swore in front of me and another customer in the vehicle next to me, both of us had our windows down. He was complaining about other employees and didn’t seem to put his attention into my vehicle or service. Seemed to be an aggressive and hostile work environment for other employees with him being in charge. He argued with me about stuff I already knew was wrong with my car and was not friendly or polite in any way. I’ll be finding another company to service my vehicle after a long relationship with VIOC on both my vehicles. Both Mankato stores are outstanding compared to this one.

Only because I went to replace it myself one week later (was told they did not have my filter in stock, so purchased the much cheaper replacement online) did I discover this fact. This means my engine was freely drawing air from the engine compartment, which, should material, dust, dirt, or otherwise be sucked up, could cause catastrophic damage to my engine. While mistakes do happen, the handling of the situation with Valvoline aftercare was atrocious. After missing the promised 48 hour callback from the store, I was connected with a "manager" named "Tony" from this location that was condescending, unprofessional, and downright caustic. The experience was disturbing enough that I later requested the call recording be shared with the district manager so the entire call could be reviewed by someone, including my own handling of the situation. I don't know who defecated in Tony's breakfast that morning, but the interaction was a masterclass in presenting an unprofessional, jarring experience to customers. The guy I originally interacted with at the store was kind and polite. While he made a potentially very expensive mistake, ultimately no harm was done. The handling of the situation after the fact, however, was baffling, and I cannot recommend anyone going to this location.

I honked my horn just to get their attention and make sure it was okay for me to enter. One of the employees signaled for me to go ahead, but after I pulled in, he came up to me and said in a very hostile way, “Don’t ever honk at us again.” I told him I was sorry and explained that I was just trying to get their attention. After they changed my oil and I left the place, my vehicle started leaking oil. By the time I reached work, all my oil had leaked out because they didn’t tighten the bolts properly. This caused serious damage to my engine. Very unprofessional people — I do not recommend going there.
