- AWAmy WedgewoodDec 12, 20251.0Have I have never had an issue before until now. My oil has always been changed at Valvoline in Buffalo. The tech’s were finishing up, gave me my receipt, all good. Waited and waited, 10 more minutes went by and then a tech came and asked me for my receipt back. He took it and went to the back of my car and I heard conversing and all of a sudden heard oh no dam. A few minutes later they all came to my window holding a universal plug, and asked if I knew what it was, I said no so they explained that the inside thread of the oil pan was stripped and they couldn’t get the plug out and when they do get it out they will replace it with this one. Also said sorry for ruining your weekend. I said well Valvoline was the last to do it. So Valvoline stripped my oil pan. I expect Valvoline to replace my oil pan. And supposedly the last tech to change my oil was fired because of over tightening . Ugh! I take care of my vehicles and then it is broken by an oil tech. Plus they said they check my tire pressure and never did. Valvoline better pay to fix my car.

Got my window sticker and receipt but didn't look at them til I reached my next destination. Realized they put conventional in instead of synthetic. While not the end of the world, my vehicle has always ran on synthetic. It was the wrong kind of oil for my vehicle based on Google, owners manual and opinions of friends. The techs on Saturday didn't ask me anything about if I want synthetic or conventional. Sunday 12/7 I called and explained the problem to manager Brittany. She told me to come back and they will fix it. She was also nice and helpful. While not an ideal first experience, they made it right and I will likely be back. But I will specify synthetic from now on. 😊
- JHJoe HartleyNov 25, 20253.0This is a tough one because the other Valvoline was amazing. I pulled in ans there were two cars in the bays and me and one other waiting to be pulled in. The suv in front of me had multiple things done to it so they took a long time. The other bay went through their car and then the next car. Then another car pulled up and they pulled them in. In total I waited 1 hour 28 mints to be done which is unacceptable. Then the guy draining the oil was complaining about taking my plastic shield off the bottom to get to the oil. Maybe it was an off day but I'd stay away from this location of you want to get in and out.

Just went in for a quick top of my fluids, Bryce was right on top of it. He came to my car quickly and helped me out so I didn't have to wait for a stall to open. He was pleasant and it was nice to see a smiling face this morning.
