My husband and I recently purchased a vehicle from Apple Valley Ford and overall the buying process seemed fine at first. However, I later discovered the vehicle only came with one key, which was not clearly disclosed during the sale.
Because of this, I had to pay $434.68 out of pocket for a replacement key and fob—something that is generally expected to be included with a vehicle purchase.
I reached out to the dealership last Thursday requesting reimbursement and have not received any response.
This has been frustrating, as I would have expected better communication and accountability. I’m hoping the dealership will step up and resolve this issue promptly.
At this point, I would encourage others to confirm all included items—especially keys—before completing a purchase.
“I would be happy to update this review if the issue is resolved.”

The sales process was fine but I believe the Blue Oval Certified designation on some of the used vehicles is a joke. I bought the car in November of last year and only have put 5,000 miles on the car with 60% of them on the highway. I had to go to an Audi Dealership to get a software upgrade and they found $4208.70 of issues with the car which they said were not new problems. Never trust the Blue Oval Certified designation and get an independent evaluation of any used car you buy from Apple Valley Ford. You will not regret taking that step. The issues were the motor mount failed on one side and the other was starting to leak hydraulic fluid which were checked off as fine on the certification check list. They also found a leak on the oil cooler bracket which they said had been like that for a while. Both of these issues were checked off as "passed" on lines 71 and 80 on the inspection list. Not happy at all!!!

We recently purchased a preowned vehicle here, Trystan was our sale representative. Our experience was fantastic, no pressure at all to buy. We provided what we were looking for, the features we wanted, the price we were trying to hit, etc. He went out did all the research, kept in touch with us until he found something we were interested in. The night we came in for our test drive he was juggling multiple clients and did a fantastic job of being attentive, answering all our questions and walking us through the process. The used car manager who drove my trade-in was great, our financing contact Josh was awesome as well. It was a great experience from beginning to end, and I recommend Apple Valley Apple Ford, Trystan, and everyone else who helped us there.

I wanted to take a moment to recognize the Service Department at Apple Valley Ford in Minnesota because good service departments deserve credit when they do things right.
Over the past several visits I’ve had multiple services done there including new tire installation, oil changes, fluid services, and more involved diagnostic and maintenance work, and every experience has been handled professionally. The technicians and service advisors have consistently done quality work and taken the time to make sure things are done correctly.
A few months back they installed a new set of tires for me and did a really clean, professional job. Everything was balanced correctly, mounted properly, and the vehicle drove great afterward. It’s the kind of work you hope for when you bring a vehicle into a dealership service department.
More recently I had additional service work done including fluids and maintenance, and again the service team handled everything with care and attention to detail. The technicians clearly know their work and the service advisors do a good job communicating what is being done and keeping customers informed.
What really stands out is the customer service and management in the service department. The staff is friendly, organized, and respectful of your time. You can tell the department is well managed because the process runs smoothly and the team works together well.
It’s also refreshing to deal with a service department that actually listens to the customer. When you explain what you’re experiencing with your vehicle, they take it seriously and work to address it rather than brushing it off. That level of professionalism builds trust.
The service advisors are knowledgeable, patient when answering questions, and genuinely seem to care about helping customers rather than rushing people through the process. That kind of customer service is becoming rare, and it’s appreciated.
Overall, the Apple Valley Ford Service Department has consistently provided quality workmanship, strong communication, and great customer service during every visit I’ve had there. The technicians, advisors, and management team clearly take pride in running a professional operation.
If someone is looking for a dealership with a reliable service department for tires, oil changes, maintenance, diagnostics, and general vehicle service, I would absolutely recommend the service team at Apple Valley Ford.
Great job to the service department and management for maintaining a high standard of work and treating customers well.
