Katie and Jen went so far above and beyond for my family and I this summer I canât put into words how great their service is. I purchased two jetski lifts this spring and Katie talked me through all of the options to ensure I made a decision I would be happy with and that fit our needs. I was never rushed through to make a decision just to get the sale done. I was informed, appreciated, and treated like I was family. Later in the summer my old boat lift failed. I called anchor dock the day before the 4th of July and they said come on out to see what we have. Jen described all of our options (which they have many) and got us an extremely impressive flow lift that works flawlessly with our boat. We couldnât have been happier that they solved our problems and delivered our new lift only a week later and took the old one away. Fast forward to two months laterâŠ.tonight I got home from work and there was a box of chocolate chip cookies delivered to my house from anchor dock and lift, thanking me for my business. I have never seen anything like this from a business. I own four businesses and I can only hope that my employees provide half the level of service that I was given at anchor dock. You guys blew me away and there is no other dock or lift company I will ever do business with. How do I clean my canopy?
Brush off any loose dirt, hose down & let thoroughly dry. If there are stains use a light, NATURAL soap (for example hand soaps, Green Works dish or laundry soaps, Simple Green, etc), lightly scrub, rinse & hang to dry.
How should I store my canopy?
We strongly recommend you remove your canopy when you take the boat off the lift. The boat provides an easy platform to reach the canopy and a lift without a boat on it is much easier to flip in high winds.
Also, pick a calm, dry day to make it easier. When the canopy is removed, be sure it is dry. Then, we recommend you lay it out on a clean dry area (the grass of your lawn is fine) and then fold it in 3-4 folds the LONG way. Next ROLL the canopy so that you are able to un-roll it on the canopy frame next spring. Finally we recommend putting the canopy in a plastic bag, a plastic wrap, or putting your canopy into an airtight container (such as Rubbermaid, etc) to keep from pests & rodents.
Do I have to treat the seams on my canopy?
Vinyl & SeaMark fabrics do not need to be treated as they are heat sealed on the seams and the vinyl is waterproof. The occasional cleaning never hurts though! For canvas-type covers that are water-resistant (SDP, weathermax, harbortime, top-gun, et al) it is a good idea to use a product like camp-dry or 303 fabric guard on an annual basis or every other year to get the best performance and longevity. Anchor offers winter cleaning, treatment services or canopy replacement on all major brands.
How high should my dock be above the water?
In central Minnesota it is recommended to keep the dock approximately 16â above the water line to prevent large waves washing over the dock or kicking out panels; on larger lakes it may be a good idea to keep the dock approximately 18âł or more above the water line.
My lift seems to be working hard and making odd noises; what should I do?
The occasional "pop" in a winch could simply be the cable slipping off of a previous wrap around the winch drum and is perfectly normal. However, if it is very difficult to crank or the noises are more than the occasional 'pop' you should verify that the pulleys are moving freely. Then, look at the gears of the winch and see if they need to lubricated or replaced. After checking those items, call us and we'll make a service call.
Iâm having a hard time centering my boat; what should I do?
Make sure your bunks or cradles are adjusted to your boat; if ok, you may want to add guide-ons or adjust the ones you have.
Do the wheels on my dock go inside or outside?
They typically go outside for more stability, but may go inside if the supports conflict with other equipment or swimming areas
Where do I place my boat lift?
Typically lifts are placed toward the end of the dock but toward shore far enough so that your equipment & canopy do not block the view

Are there restrictions to how long the dock can be?
No; however, you cannot impede navigation on the lake
Why should I have a boat lift?
Boat lifts keep your watercraft out of the water to prevent algae & pest growth on your hull; this ultimately protects the coating & coloring of your watercraft. If you add a canopy this will protect the interior from sun damage & other harmful environmental affects
Will a larger winch on my lift increase capacity?
No; capacity largely depends on the framework of the lift, among other components
