Young man installed my battery on my Prius, this was difficult, but he was persistent and stuck to it and had no trouble with it. General Manager was calming and told me not to worry; trust me, I was worried after going to other local auto parts store and they telling me they couldn't help me. Batteries are not cheap but they installed it for me and I was able to buy a warranty on the battery. I can't tell you how much these guys saved the day for me and really just came through for a regular every day person that they did not know. I felt like the reason this store is good is because of their leadership and their staff. Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
