  I have never had so many problems with something I have barely ever used in my life. Nothing like spending twenty thousand on warranty for them to cover absolutely nothing. Went there to pick it up several times when I first bought it to get turned away.Because it was still dirty. Countless issues after I picked it up.And they want to blame the fact that is an older coach.I understand that, but you sold it to me when it was already old. And on top of it, i've only had it for 2 years and have already had countless problems.I would not recommend ever buying a camper from this facility.I would go anywhere else, but general r v.Wixam, I probably wouldn't even go to general r.V anymore, the only reason I still go to them is because the camper is still under warranty and they winterize it while i'm paying it off.

  Took my camper in for a scheduled appointment for annual roof inspected. A couple of weeks later went to watch TV but found it very difficult to raise the TV antenna and impossible to rotate. Upon inspection I discovered the roof-top antenna had been sealed/glued to the roof. Had several communications with their service department and sent them photos of the damage they caused. A month latter the situation still remains unresolved! Steve S.

  I had a great experience picking up my new RV. Heather was very friendly and helpful, and I had a thorough walkthrough with Bill. I highly recommend General RV in Wixom!

  Horrible, horrible experience. Initially we thought they were amazing. Extremely friendly. Great communication…but of course because they wanted to sell us something. They seemed super put together and professional. Seemed to have great streamlined processes in place. Once we took the toy hauler off the lot though, they showed their true colors and all this happened within one year: First, they installed the fifth wheel hitch in the bed of our truck incorrectly so we were unable to even hook it up to the toy hauler. The holes were SO far off you couldn’t get the hitch back in. A different general rv location had to come to our house to pick up the toy hauler. More holes were drilled in the bed of the truck to fix their mistake thus damaging the linex coating in the bed of the truck. Second, they didn’t communicate well that there is a deductible on the warranties they sold us NOR did they explain you still have to pay for any shipping costs and shop suppliers that might incur during any warranty repairs…so that was a joyful surprise that added HUNDREDS on to our invoices. $18,000 in warranties for 5 years PLUS ALL shop costs and shipping costs for any parts. Third, they didn’t check the functionally of the fuel cell…which we later found out was even assembled incorrectly by the manufacturer. Fourth, they didn’t fix small items such as the front compartment locks although during our walk through we pointed out and they said they would fix it. We were stupid and didn’t double check everything when we came to pick it up because we thought they were professional and would do what they said. Fifth, the inverter blew on our camper because they directed us to plug the camper into our outlet which the watchdog we bought was throwing an error and not allowing power to flow (wow who would have thought that when a watchdog throws an error you should just circumvent it…) Sixth, after they gave us those very wrong instructions from point 5…the landing gear control module died. So yet another thing to repair and wait on and what not. Stay FAR FAR away from this general RV location. The ONLY thing they offered as an apology for their incompetence and unprofessionalism is to cover the $150 deductible (the shop parts and shipping costs were over $400 that we had to pay even though the fuel cell was assembled incorrectly by KEYSTONE themselves).

  Alexandria was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and fun to work with. She listened to what we wanted and kept with that while we shopped several fifth wheels. We appreciated not being redirected or pushed toward campers for which we had no interest. If opportunity presented, we would not hesitate to work with her again.
