- EFEthan FJul 19, 20244.0I had some frame and body work and a new radiator installed along with some other new parts by them, to my car just a little under 2 years ago. Ever since I got my car back from them I’ve had several new issues with my car that continuously progressed to the point that I had to take it back for them to check it out. The problem I was having was my car not getting any power when taking off from a red light or stop sign that first started off randomly and intermittently until it got to the point where it was doing at all times and I would I have to pull my brake pedal back with my foot in order to take off. When it first started happening, it was just like my car was delayed getting any type of power, I could even push the gas pedal all the way to the ground and I would still be stuck going 15-25-35 miles per hour and the engine/rpm wouldn’t rev up or increase when doing that. Then out of nowhere it was like it would kick back in and I could get to normal driving speed. Then the pedal would click in and I would have to pop it back up with my foot to get any power towards the end. It put me in some scary and dangerous situations a few times. Another issue is the button on the exterior driver and front passenger door handles used for the passive locking and unlocking feature of the vehicle also suddenly stopped working. I even checked the settings which show it’s still turned on and even replaced the key fob battery with no luck. If anyone knows anything about the passive door lock/unlock button feature, I would greatly appreciate any feedback or advice!! I hope gerber can figure it out and get it fixed and finally working the way it should, once and for all. I also hope this is covered under their lifetime warranty which states: *LIFETIME WARRANTY = WE GUARANTEE OUR REPAIRS AGAINST ANY DEFECT IN WORKMANSHIP FOR AS LONG AS YOU OWN YOUR VEHICLE., because I really can’t afford to dump any more money into this car. I believe that Gerber will do the right thing and fix it all under warranty. I will give an update on this review once I hear from them about their findings and determinations and then possibly again a little after I get it back and drive it for a week to confirm that the problems are fixed for good.
