    I reserved a 7-passenger van online. Based on past experience, many times the vehicle type reserved online is not actually available on the day of pickup, for reasons I don’t know. Because of this concern, I specifically called to confirm whether the van I reserved would indeed be available that day. I had already made the reservation, and it was very important for me to have a van, as I absolutely would not be able to rent a smaller vehicle. However, the first response I received from your staff was: “I can’t predict the future or the situation on that day, so I can’t guarantee the van will be available, but we should have one.” And then: “If it’s not available, there’s nothing I can do, because I can’t predict the future.” I was not asking your staff to predict the future. My question was very simple: “I have already reserved this specific type of van online. Is there any way you can help confirm that it will be available on the day of pickup?” She did not even attempt to check or explain whether confirmation was possible, and instead immediately responded with “I can’t predict the future.” Is this how your customer service staff are trained to handle customer concerns—so passively? Or is the goal of your customer service training to frustrate customers before actually helping them?
