- TNT NormFeb 19, 20261.0While the representative (Eric) at pickup was exceptional—professional, courteous, and extremely helpful—the roadside assistance experience was very concerning. The vehicle provided to us had a flat tire and no spare tire available in the car. When I contacted Enterprise dispatch, the representative arranged for AAA to come out. However, I was informed that I would be responsible for paying for the tire change. Since there was no spare tire in the vehicle, the tow truck driver began loading the vehicle onto the truck. At that point, dispatch instructed the driver to unload the vehicle and leave us on the side of the road because Enterprise would not cover the tow. Being left roadside, late at night, without a spare tire and without support created a stressful and unsafe situation. At a minimum, rental vehicles should be equipped with a spare tire or clear contingency support should be provided when a flat occurs. Additionally, customers should not be placed in a position where they are stranded due to internal coverage decisions. Improving coordination between dispatch and roadside assistance, ensuring vehicles are properly equipped, and prioritizing customer safety during breakdown situations is a must.
