Sunday morning I realized my brake light was out. I went to the store on Greenfield near 9 Mile. When I walked in the lady manager was berating an employee. He stepped over to help me. For some reason she got right behind me and it felt weird. She seemed to have a nasty attitude. She rushed him to look up the part number and complained that he was moving too slow. She blurted it out so fast that all I caught was the aisle number. I looked on the aisle hoping to catch what part number she said. I went back to the register and asked again. She was having him do something. Then she told him to straighten the bills in his drawer after he opened it. Directly afterward, not even 60 seconds later she said he was taking too long organizing his drawer and that any customer waiting on him would most likely curse him out. I asked for the part number again. Then I got the part from the aisle. I went to make my purchase and had a 50 dollar bill. I did not have a card on me. She asked if I was paying with card or cash. I said cash. Before she rang it up she told me I needed to give her something smaller. While I understand rules and regulations about big bills being used in retail there was no need for her to tell me I needed something smaller. She never asked. She TOLD me I needed something smaller. Then she asked again if I had a card. I said no. Then nothing. So I put the part down and said I would go get change. I left. I am not going back to that store. There is no room for berating employees in good quality customer service. I will shop elsewhere now. I don't expect employees to be bubbly and cheerful 100% of the time. However, rudeness and being snappy is not acceptable in any customer service situation.

I just bought a new “used” 2025 Mazda CX-5 and only had it for a week and a half. Out of curiosity, I wanted to get a diagnostic done on it just to see if anything came back. The associate proceeded to tell me “the machine won’t catch anything if your check engine light isn’t on” which is false and a lie. Nevertheless, I walked out extremely pissed off and irritated knowing the information that he relaid to me was a bunch of BS!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would give neg. 0. I come in during business hours wait patiently for my turn. The unpleasant, rude young lady told me she " didn't do dogs hold him or you gon have to take him out " my dog is a ESA, ton a leash. I told her I had a return and all paperwork receipts were back in the box. With a stinking attitude she ask "whatchu bringing it back for"? I explained and ask if there was any one to check my oil if needed I would give them more business by purchasing the oil there. Again she spouted out "oh we don't check oil here". Smdh, I thanked her being the face of auto zone, realizing that this is the managers fault, always is, I've managed stores trained managers, he/she hires trains, and set the example and expectations. It proved again that ( I'm black ) if you do most any business in Detroit expect to be treated poorly..by your own race. Detroit businesses, hire people who should not work with people or animals. One customer at a time.. until it's done. Again the staffs poor behavior is a reflection of the management. I'll drive out of Detroit for miles before expecting professional, knowledge, considering service..and constantly spending money and not receiving it. Accountability, take it and hold each other to it. You can't change what you don't acknowledge.
