It came with a 3 Year replacement warranty and I had two more months left in the warranty. Today my car wont start up, and AAA gave me a jump start, they also did a battery health check showing a week battery and it needs immediate replacement. So I went to the Advance Auto Parts store, Novi, MI, talked to Mike K, and they performed a battery health check and it also showed the battery indeed is week and needs to be replaced. Without any hesitation they put a brand new Die Hard Gold battery in the car, and it costed me nothing. I am so happy and grateful. What a great customer service!!!! Thanks to Mike K and all other Team members in the store I would give A++++ rating to the Advance Auto Parts store, Novi, MI,

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
