Gave me a run around answer about how they're a converted CarQuest store and couldn't honor my warranty. Then grabbed a battery off the wall, cut the sticker off it and said this is a "freebie". He even had a snarky attitude about how AutoZone sent me there instead of pushing a sale on me since they tested it and I told them I had a warranty. Sorry for the rant, but I have never been more apalled in my life at customer service. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this trash company!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
