In around February of 2025 I came to this location for brake service. I told the service manager I had a deal with Belle Tire for Wagner brand brakes and rotors which I knew to be reliable but I was shopping around. He gave me a quote that was lower and assured me that this location only used Wagner brand brakes as well. I paid approximately $1100 for the service and immediately after the service I came back to the location and expressed that the brakes were squealing. The service manager could not recreate the noise while the vehicle was in their possession and in May of 2025 the pads had worn down to nothing. They offered to replace the pads and rotors but I still had to pay the labor cost so I spent another almost $600. The brakes were squealing again within a week and then in October they failed entirely. Because the location was poorly staffed I chose to take my truck to another location where after removing the brakes they showed me I never had Wagner brakes and they were Carquest. I then looked back at my old paperwork and searched the part numbers and yes indeed those were Carquest as well. I began the process of seeking a refund and the service manager claimed no responsibility and blamed my truck for the brake fault. I then took my truck to a Ford dealership and they confirmed that my truck was never placed in Brake Maintenance mode during the previous two installations so the rear calipers didn’t properly engage and the brakes were never calibrated. That’s a standard part of F-150 brake installation and even I was able to YouTube it and see for myself. Because of this I also requested a refund for bad installation because their technicians clearly don’t keep themselves educated on these matters. It is now December and this location has yet to refund me my money. Since being installed properly my brakes have not made a single noise which lets me know as well that this location gave me bad service and parts. No one should ever come here for anything other than tires.
Update: on 12/4/2025 at 4:22pm Ron called me and without proof vehemently said that the specialist at Ford was a liar. He then went out of his way to explain a falsity to me that it was IMPOSSIBLE to do the job on this vehicle without entering Brake Maintenance mode which is not true, you can look it up online for yourself and see that although it is not the right way to change the brakes it is VERY possible to do it without entering the mode which is exactly what the Goodyear techs did. I feel that my intelligence has been insulted and I’m now seeking legal action on a case that could have simply been rectified with the store understanding that something was done incorrectly and treating me fairly.

My husband and I just moved to Michigan two weeks ago, and since we’ve always trusted Goodyear with our cars, we decided to make the very short 48-mile drive to this location—because, of course, we wanted to stick with a company we thought we could rely on.
We even called ahead to make sure they had availability for both of our cars. Ron, who answered the phone, was very pleasant at the time and told us it was “no problem” to come in. Perfect. Except, when we arrived—just an hour and a half later—Ron suddenly had a very different attitude. Apparently, showing up “two hours” after calling is a crime now? His words, not mine.
Then, after asking if we were still doing both cars (which, yes, was the plan), Ron decided to inform us that because of the time we came in, they could only do one. Mind you, this was around 3 p.m.—with two hours left before closing. For reference, my car’s balance and rotation took a whole 44 minutes. But apparently, my husband’s balance would take… what? An hour and sixteen minutes? Interesting math. Especially considering there were two technicians in the back just standing there.
So after a nearly 50-mile drive, one car done, and a lecture about when we decided to show up, we learned something valuable: not all Goodyear locations treat their customers the same. We’ll be sure to take our business elsewhere—because if this is what “service” looks like, we’ll pass.
