Friendly staff. Speedy service. Much better than Lincoln Park. Those clowns couldn't work in a fast food place.

The best night shift. On the 6th of last night. The manager and young lady was real patient and went above and beyond to help me. I hope corporate expedite their raises.

I left one star only because it was required to submit this review—otherwise, this experience would have received zero stars.
My son purchased a CV axle from this store (Livonia, Middlebelt) on 01/03/2026. We drove from another city, which was not a short trip. When the part was taken to the repair shop, the mechanic discovered that although it was the correct box, the axle inside was incorrect and turned out to be a GM part.
The following day, I returned the axle to AutoZone in my city, where staff confirmed that the wrong part had been placed in the box. I called the Livonia store to speak with a manager. The person who answered abruptly said, “You’re speaking to one.” I greeted him with, "hi how are you!" multiple times before receiving a very dry response.
I explained the situation to the manager, named "Aaron." He told me he needed an order number, which I did not have at the time since I was driving. He then stated that because the part had already been returned and I didn’t have the order number, there was nothing he could do. While I understood the limitation, what was completely lacking was any concern, apology, empathy, or acknowledgment of the mistake or inconvenience caused.
Aaron went on to say that this store (Livonia) is a fulfillment center and the largest store in Michigan, and that most returns are shipped back to them. I asked if that meant returned items are not checked to ensure the correct part is inside the box before going on the shelf or being resold to a customer. He stated that they are not, and that responsibility falls on the store that shipped back the item.
His tone, attitude, and callous demeanor were completely uncalled for. He was rude from the moment he answered the phone and lacked even basic professionalism, including the ability to simply say hello even after said to him. His behavior had nothing to do with the issue I called about—it was evident immediately.
If he is unable or unwilling to communicate respectfully with customers and the public, he should not be assigned to answer phones or handle customer-facing responsibilities, or even be a manager for that matter. He would be better suited for a role in the back, where he does not have to interact or deal with people.
This experience was extremely inconvenient and disappointing, and I will not be returning to this location.

I did not actually purchase anything from this store BUT i went in looking for help to get air in my tire because it is New Years Day so most places with air were closed. They did not have air BUT Tony was the kindest soul and came out to my car with me and talked about my car issues (more than just tire pressure) and helped ease my stress to get me back home (30 min away). He was so nice and informative and understanding. 10/10 reccommend Tony! He is the absolute best.
