  I have used transmission shop for probably two decades now and I continue to find it the best place to have my car repaired. All of the young people in the front office are wonderful re to deal with. They are kind and you can always trust their professionalism. I have aways felt comfortable taking my vehicle to be repaired. I will always suggest to others that they take vehicles there to be repaired and that the people at this repair shop will always be professional with them. it will be pleased with the quoted prices for the services.   Had my car towed to A&J on Thursday, January 23, 2026. After two unkept promises that my car would be looked at and that I would receive a quote, I finally received my quote on Friday, January 31 with a quote for roughly $7,200 to replace the engine on my car with a used one. As evidence of purported engine failure, A&J attached pictures of my car engine cylinder that were date stamped 11-11-2025 (my car obviously wasn't on or remotely close to the premises until January 23, 2026). I have subsequently paid A&J its diagnostic fee totaling $160 and had my car towed to another shop where I secured and approved a quote for $4,576 ($2,624 less than A&J quoted). I'm not too pleased with A&J and draw your own conclusions about whether you want to risk a similar experience if you choose to use A&J.

  I’ve been bringing our cars to the folks at A&J on Homer St. for years and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. You can count on the folks at A&J for fast, accurate, service done right at very competitive prices. They are very fair and they stand behind their work. They are a very busy shop and try to get everyone in as quickly as possible and get the job done right. They are kind, compassionate, and honest folks and they treat their customers very well. They are Super friendly and sincere. They take pride in the quality work they do, at affordable prices. They do all types of repairs and they do pre-buy inspections too. We just won’t take our vehicles anywhere else! A&J is the place to go and I highly recommend A&J to anyone who is in the market for high quality, guaranteed repairs, without getting ripped-off! The folks over at A&J truly care about their customers. ❤️👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 PS- Mikayla, Corey, Alexis, and Jacob (and all the rest of the team) are awesome! Also- Good news!…they just expanded to Holt!

  I had ignition issues, they head Tech, showed great communication skills, immeadiatly assest the situation, solved the problem, all while being respectful, curtios, and prompt, all while keeping a professional attitude,,,, "he really showed great customer service behavior."
