  I found Nate through Google Reviews and feel very fortunate to have found him after having taken my 2021 Chevy Silverado in to the GM dealership in Gaylord twice and to Dave’s Garage twice in Gaylord. GM couldn’t figure out the lurching issue with my truck after 2 trips in, and after spending over $1000 at Dave’s Garage and getting a huge transmission replacement estimate from Dave’s I happened upon BC Transmission and Nate. Nate gave me a fair estimate and saved me at least $2000+, plus he replaced the front calipers and brake pads on my truck and had all repairs completed within 2.5 days which was impressive because this was Nate’s first GM 8 speed transmission install and the transmission needed computer programming as well. My truck feels like brand new, and this transmission has a 3 year/500K mile warranty which beat Dave’s Garage warranty X4. Nate’s estimate for repairs was what Dave’s Garage was going to charge me for just the transmission purchase alone, minus the labor, fluids and extra parts. I highly recommend Nate because he is thorough, he is a master mechanic, he is honest, he called me the first night with updates/progress and with a timeline for completion of the work. You will leave there knowing that things have been done correctly and to the manufacturer’s specifications because Nate will explain things in detail. Nate is a one man garage but his knowledge is great, he is detail oriented, he does work for major garages in and around the Traverse City area, he works on hot rods too and he is like a diamond in the rough because he is a rare entity in today’s greedy world. We drove over an hour to get to his shop outside Kingsley but our time was well spent and I will be back as I couldn’t be happier or more satisfied. Thanks Nate for a job well done, for making quick repairs and for getting us in so quickly and back on the road with confidence.

  Took my avalanche to Nate to have fix paid good money for a transmission then transmission broke 6 months later covid hit and I wasn’t even driving it so when I took it back he didn’t want to warranty it and then 4 months later the bolts on the torque converter backed out because he didn’t use lock tight on it. Will never use him or recommend him to anyone.
