Several years ago when we first moved to Holt, my car needed repair. When I pick it up, the owner flipped the bill over and had listed 5 things that needed to be done. He pointed to the first two and said, "This needs to be done sooner than later, these others you can hold off for a bit.". I was stunned by his honesty and not trying to push me to make repairs that weren't needed right away. This approach has never changed. You pay a fair price, but you're getting what needs to be done. Been with this shop ever since. Thanks Frankie D's!!!

Let me start by saying their customer service/front desk was great. I went in to get tires aligned on my 2014 Honda CRV which took about 90 min to get done. When I went to pick up my car, I was told the R rear camber was non adjustable and should be fine. I reached out to my dealership and another auto shop that said the opposite, and essential the camber system could be replaced for the year and model of my car. I am YET again going to have to pay to get all my tires aligned once this service is fixed. Very disappointing and will get my tires aligned elsewhere in the future.

I brought my Audi A3 in for what was a huge oil leak. Oil was pouring out, and the shop told me it was just the oil cap. They said they literally saw oil spewing out and replaced it with one bought from an Audi dealership. They charged me $120 for that cap and a visual inspection, saying it should fix the issue. For about a week, everything seemed fine. I was relieved, even shook the mechanic’s hand, the guy with the beard and a speech impediment, after he told me the problem was solved. But only a week later, the low oil light came back on. I returned, and this time they said it was the valve body gasket. They quoted me $498 and said they had to “start there” before moving further. I agreed, trusting their judgment. A few days later, while I was on vacation, the oil light came back on again — this time I was adding a quart of oil every 10 miles just to keep driving. I even had to pull off the side of the road twice just to refill oil and make it home. Once I got back, I let the car sit for a few days, bought an oil dipstick online because it almost looked like oil was spewing from there, and finally had the car towed to the dealership because I was done playing guessing games. I cannot understand how a mechanic shop can charge me $120 for a cap and inspection, nearly $500 for another “maybe” repair, and still leave me with a massive oil leak that never got fixed. I left trusting them, even thanking that same mechanic, but it is clear now I was being strung along. Do not be fooled by friendly faces and smooth talk. These guys may seem nice, but in reality, they are more like salesmen with a good stage presence. At the end of the day, you might be better off watching YouTube, figuring out the actual problem, and then telling them exactly what to replace instead of letting them keep charging you for the wrong fixes. I am now bringing my car to the dealership to move on, and I will never bring my car back to this shop again.

My license plate screws were rusted so bad I couldn't get them off. Took my car over to Frankie D's and the mechanics were so wonderful. They got the screws off and replaced my old license plate with my new one. All without charge. Been going there for 20 years and never been disappointed. Thank you! Frankie D's is the best.
