    I don’t take writing negative reviews lightly, especially for a branch where the staff are usually courteous, engaged, and provide solid customer service. However, the way my recent reservation was handled was deeply disappointing and could have easily turned into a serious safety issue. I had a 5 PM reservation on a Monday, booked well over a month in advance. I called at 4:10 PM to ask if I could come early, as I had a ride and wanted to save the team a pickup. They initially had no vehicles available but called back shortly after to offer one of two compact SUVs that had just been returned. I appreciated the quick follow-up and declined the pickup offer, heading to the branch right away. To my surprise, I was placed in a BMW — a luxury upgrade I didn’t expect. However, as I pulled off, I noticed the tire pressure warning light was on. I hesitated, knowing that vehicles with service alerts should not be rented out. These cars are supposed to be removed from circulation until properly serviced. I hoped it was a reset issue and planned to check the tire myself once I got home. Unfortunately, I found a nail embedded in the tire. I returned the vehicle immediately. The branch had no replacements and directed me to drive to the downtown location to switch cars — during rush hour. That wasn’t a safe or feasible option for me, especially since I was already behind schedule. I asked about a vehicle delivery, which I know the company offers. The response was vague and dismissive. It felt like the request was brushed off due to the inconvenience of arranging overtime. I also questioned why I was sent downtown when there’s a closer branch on 9 Mile. Was that decision made for customer convenience or internal logistics? What’s most troubling is the sense that the team may have knowingly rented out a vehicle with a compromised tire. When I asked to be taken home, the response was simply “OK.” No follow-up, no offer to rebook, no concern for how this impacted my plans. I had to be on the road by 6 AM the next morning to teach a class in Grand Rapids. This situation disrupted my evening and forced me to scramble for alternate arrangements. Please do better. Safety should never be compromised for daily revenue. Customer service doesn’t end at 6 PM. Doing the right thing — even when it’s inconvenient — is what builds trust and loyalty.

    Very nice men work there, pleasant and accommodating. This locations rental prices were lower than other locations. The vehicle was very clean and my wait time was only 5 minutes. It was simple.
