  1/9/26 First time shopping at this location and LAST time shopping at this location! I went to this store to buy a gun and stood at the counter for about 10 minutes while the salesman stared at me but said nothing. Which was a bit strange and wierd. So eventually I took it upon myself and asked him or the 3 other employees standing there for help i was told to use the kiosks even though they weren'thelping anyone. "How can i assist you?", "Have you been helped?" Or even "Did you need something?" would have been way less uncomfortable and awkward. When they barked out my name with me standing a foot from him I said im very interested in buying he and they all sat silent. Didn't even ask what i wanted to look at. No insight on the product or potential model options. No mention of add ons to include like sites, holster, ammo, etc. NO ask if i might be a first time gun owner. Am i a first time buyer, do I have a cpl, am i aware of purchase options and hold time, am i aware of any legal paperwork? NOTHING. These things make a negative impact on both seasoned and first-time gun owners. People should have a positive experience in your store and feel comfortable enough to make a large decision such as purchasing and owning a firearm which did not happen today I will not ever return to this store or recommend it to anyone for fear of them receiving the same treatment.

  This was a great store! Multiple employees asked me if I needed anything, all in different departments in the store. It was clean and well stocked. Went for fishing stuff and they had a huge selection! Women's clothing section was also very good! Will also be back for boots! I was nervous because the reviews aren't great for this store and there wasn't any pictures of it, however it was great just like the old Cabela's similar to the Dundee location maybe not as cool. I meant to take pictures but was too busy shopping! Would definitely recommend 👍

  I went into the grandville store yesterday 10/18/2025 to look at scopes and no one wanted to help me as I stood there at the counter listening to the sale people. I realize most of these guys in here did not know what they were talking about . But they wanted the customers to think they did , while listening to this sale associate feed this customer with this huge line of BS about how many bullets he can have in his gun while deer hunting I couldn’t do anything but laugh knowing you are only allowed 5 rounds in your gun so I advised a customer to read the DNR role book because you are only allowed five rounds in your weapon during deer season. but my biggest Zer0 was there were no one that worked behind the counter and that store that looked anything like me so I asked an associate do they not hire African-Americans or Hispanics and the associate looked at me laughed dropped his head and said we have two that work in the store.

  Jason was my clerk and he was very professional and knowledgeable. I had purchased a gun from another store and he was fast to locate it and get me on my way.
