    I am extremely dissatisfied with my recent experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car in the GRANDVILLE/WYOMING MI area which raises serious concerns not only about customer service, but also about basic business practices and potential consumer protection implications. I made a reservation in advance for an SUV, specifically because my circumstances require a vehicle of that size. This was not a last-minute or walk-in request. I acted proactively and relied on Enterprise’s representation that a vehicle meeting my reservation criteria would be available at the scheduled time. Upon arrival, I was informed that there were no SUVs available, and in fact, no comparable vehicles at all. What is most troubling is that Enterprise failed to provide any prior notice of this issue. There was no phone call, email, or attempt to communicate that they would be unable to fulfill the reservation. As a result, I was effectively left stranded without transportation. From a legal and consumer protection standpoint, this situation is highly problematic. While rental reservations are sometimes framed as “subject to availability,” companies like Enterprise create a reasonable expectation that confirmed reservations will be honored, or at minimum, that customers will be notified in advance if they cannot be. Failing to do so may constitute a deceptive or unfair business practice under consumer protection laws, particularly when the company knowingly allows customers to rely on a reservation it cannot fulfill. Additionally, there appears to have been no effort to mitigate the situation. I was not offered a comparable upgrade, a transfer to another location, or any meaningful solution. This lack of contingency planning and failure to accommodate a confirmed reservation reflects poorly on Enterprise’s operational standards. The impact of this failure is not minor. I have an important law school entrance exam next week, and transportation reliability is critical during this time. Enterprise’s failure to honor its commitment created unnecessary stress and disruption at a time when I needed stability and professionalism. I should have just rented from the location on 28th St near the airport. The ENTERPRISE located in Wyoming Granville area should literally be shut down.

    We booked an 8-passenger SUV two months in advance through Costco specifically to ensure we had the right vehicle for our trip. When we arrived, we were told they did not have one available—completely defeating the purpose of reserving ahead of time. What made this worse was the lack of accountability. Instead of taking responsibility, the staff claimed they had tried to call us multiple times, which was not true. There were no calls or voicemails. There was no meaningful apology, no solution offered, and no effort to make the situation right. We were left to figure it out on our own on the day of our trip. This was a very disappointing and stressful experience, and I would not rely on this location if your reservation truly matters.

    Horrrible communication.. should’nt be allowed to reserve cars if they don’t have any in their inventory. Especially when I double checked to make sure they did have cars. Leave for a trip tomorrow and now I have to cancel because of them. Pitiful
