I went to mister car wash yesterday and bought the 22$ car wash and tipped the staff (hopefully) 5 bucks on card because they don’t take cash. I was concerned half way through because they have a line and it doesn’t seem like any car is getting any specific wash it looked like we were all getting the exact wash then I get home and see I still have dirt in spots that seem like for a $30 wash it would’ve been clean. I’m disappointed I can’t recommend this wash to anyone.

I'm a big fan of Mister, been a monthly member for several years now, have always enjoyed the service they provide. With this Knapp location specifically, it seems they actually open at 7AM on weekdays <50% of the time. I've been turned away 4 or 5 times now between 7:05-7:15AM. If you're going to say you open at 7AM, let's get opened up at 7AM. Not the end of the world...but kind of annoying when you really want that early morning wash.

I love the concept of the car wash. I don't love the fact that many times only one day is open and there's a line out to the street. Also neither base have sprayers that work so I can't get the back of my car sprayed down so I usually have to come through the carwash twice. And there is a huge pothole or two in the entry exit area and I don't think anybody should have to put their clean car through a huge pothole and risk damaging their tires.

I would give this car wash a better review if they would not make us all wait 25 minutes for one car wash when they clearly have two car washes they can operate at once. I understand, running two washes costs more than one but that’s not my problem. When your carwash is busy, open both. When it’s slow, I get only using one. Simple. The line has been off the Carwash property for the last couple of weeks. Final note, the rear of my car never gets completely clean so I normally have to clean it myself or go through the car wash a second time…….if it’s not an outrageous wait time. Perhaps I should’ve left 2 ⭐️😂

I wanted to share this experience in hopes that it helps improve the overall operation.
The program behind Mr. Car Wash is strong. The membership model is an excellent concept, the vacuums work well, and the staff has always been accommodating and great to work with. That part of the experience has consistently been positive.
However, there are several ongoing issues that need attention.
First, the East Beltline location has two service bays, yet it seems that one is frequently down or not staffed. When that happens, wait times become excessive, especially since this location gets very busy. If two lanes are built, they should consistently be operational. The scanning censors are hit or miss sometimes. Everyone already knows that though.
Second, the wash quality—particularly on SUVs—is not acceptable. The rear of the vehicle is consistently underwashed. The sprayers do not adequately clean the back end, and the dryers also fail to properly dry that area.
Third, and most concerning, is the condition of the brushes. They are advertised as not holding debris, yet after approximately 12 or so washes since November, my brand-new Yukon Denali Ultimate—previously flawless—now has significant swirling and scratching imperfections. This is extremely disappointing. It’s enough for me to consider canceling my membership and seeking a fully touchless 360 wash alternative.
Additionally, when requesting a retract, the system is not capable of a full retract, which prevents me from avoiding brush contact altogether. That defeats the purpose of offering the option.
I was once a big fan of this wash and its model. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve the experience moving forward.
