- COCassie Ocean2 days ago1.0I am ashamed of the experience that I just had at my local Auto Zone, at the Fuller (Grand Rapids, MI) location. Manager Mike (or how he refers to himself "gray shirt") guided my experience. During my time at the store he made racist and ableist commentary. Informing me that "the 2 words that black people can't say are catalytic and ask". When I portrayed disapproval of his comments he told me "sorry, I just spaced out as far as your concerned", pretending to not remember what he had just said. I will not be returning to this location and strongly urge others to proceed similarly. Not cool.

They were also very knowledgeable, helping me figure out which battery best fit my needs and my budget. They also replaced the battery for me for no extra charge, as is customary at all Auto Zone locations as far as I know. So that was really nice. The prices weren't too outrageous, although just a little higher than I expected (partially the fault of the unique model I drive), I though it would be 150-160 pre tax but it ended up being 230 after tax and everything, but it could have been so much worse, so I think I got a decent value out of it, especially considering the 3 year warranty and the extra cold start amps. Big props to the staff here, I wish I got everyone's name because it wasn't just Haley that was helpful, they all did a great job and were super nice.
