Walked inside, asked worker about getting my car scanned, got told “it’s too dark out”. I thought he was joking because it was no later than 5pm. Yes it starts getting darker a lot sooner during this time of year, but it’s not fully dark till 6:30ish. I stood there for a second expecting him to actually help me, then he repeats himself, “it’s too dark out, we don’t do it once it gets dark out because of ‘safety protocol’. “ I honestly don’t know how this guy has a job with that sort of work ethic. Everyone knows it takes less than 5mins to scan a car. How lazy can you be. Will never be going back. Worker should be ashamed honestly

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
