  Please ensure the vehicle has appropriate maintenance prior to rental. My vehicle continued to have alerts on the dashboard warning of issues that would affect the performance of the vehicle. I had a 16 hour trip and had to pull over multiple times at night in the mountains to seek help from the truck/gas stops. Upon return of the car, I was accused of being late with the return and treated and spoken to poorly by the staff member, P. J Lemanski, rental management trainee. Even after verifying that the vehicle was returned on time, he did not apologize or ask about my experience with the vehicle. He spoke in a condescending way and proceeded to inspect the vehicle. He states he had seen an ash and would charge $250 to the rental. There was no smoking in the vehicle, it was cleaned, no stains, odor, or butts. There was definitely a racial undertone as he spoke to other customers who were not African American with a different tone, expressed joy to speak with them and immediate dissatisfaction with our conversation. This was done in such an obvious way that other staff dropped and shook their heads. In addition to this, I was charged for additional protection I did not agree to. It was so embarrassing and disrespectful, I left the facility with intentions to follow up via an alternative route as I also needed to return to work. I was recommended by a Gold member of 10 years as I usually rent through Avis Budget or Hertz. She has now deactivated her membership and I will not patronize this company by spending my hard earned money with them ever again. I do not recommend Enterprise by any means.

  The customer service at this branch was impeccable. I'll like to give a special highlight to PJ most rental cars try to upsale on unnecessary upgrades but, he got me into the coverages that fit my usage. Keion was great recognized that the car was left in great condition and got me checked out very efficiently.

  Needed a rental car following an accident, and the Enterprise location in Ferndale could not have made it easier! The Team was helpful and efficient throughout the whole process. Specifically, Nathan was super kind and helpful. Much appreciated.
