My experience was nothing short of lovely. Von was the technician who helped me, and not only was he friendly, but also patient to an extent that was, quite frankly, shocking. Von offered to check my cabin filter, taking his time to gently remove the cover/glove box so as to not break the clips holding it on. The only reason I didn't change the filter is because I couldn't afford to on this trip, but based on my experience I will definitely be back to have it done here. It was such a wonderful surprise to have Von take so much time and care with my car, especially because the optics of it suggest that it's on its way to being a clunker but is actually the means by which I can commute to work in EL from my home in Detroit (95 miles away). Von made me feel valued just by the time and effort he spent working on my vehicle, chatting with me, and generally just being so pleasant.
Furthermore, Dale came over almost immediately to identify himself as the manager, and while he said the corporate thing he had to say about survey and whatever else, it was the way he walked me through all the checks and answered my questions about the dipstick so that I can actually know what it is and what I'm supposed to be looking for/at that impressed me most.
Overall, the staff was honest to goodness so amazing to interact with, and such a refreshing experience. I don't know what brought Von got here from Gary, IN, but please do make sure to take care of him to keep him as long as you can (and if you need to know how to take care of him, just watch how he takes care of your customers) 8/5 stars

I came to this location about a year ago and paid a lot of money to stay there for 20 minutes and just sit in my car, which was okay but it was a bit pricey for that. I ended up going to another Valvoline for my next oil change and they talked to me about other things in my car that I needed to spend money on, and made me feel like I HAD to do all of it that day, tho I left without doing anything other than the oil change. I ended up back at this location after I realized I needed an oil change, and decided I rather pay a lot for a little, than be judged for not doing any of those services since my last oil change.
And oh wow the difference! I had to wait a bit before getting in, there were three other cars outside while they were working on two inside, but the wait was well worth it. The manager talked to me like a person, made jokes, and helped me understand the other things that needed to be done on my car without making me feel bad or like I had to get them done that day. Then he gave me a handout that went over what those things were so I can budget to get the services done, and the manager said to keep an eye on my email, as they occasionally send coupons specifically for those! I will be coming back to THIS location for those, because if I’m going to have to be at a Valvoline for 20+ minutes to take care of those other things, I want it to be with the staff here! Despite the busy day, the team was in good spirits with smiles on their faces. Dare I say it, they all looked like they were enjoying their jobs! 🤪

Staff is extremely friendly and answered any questions I had as well as offered services on my car that might have been put off unless they had mentioned it! It's a great place to go! Gabby is very sweet and knowledgeable when explaining the services that this location offers! The whole team does excellent and quick work! It's a stress free environment as a customer and there is no pressure for not adding on certain services! I highly recommend coming here!!
