    I love the online check in more than you can imagine! The kind sir at the entrance to the counters was super friendly and very helpful. The lady when I was leaving the lot was not, hard to hear and not having the best day (maybe). But Jonny (manager) listened well and gave me a free upgrade next time I'm in DTM!

    I am not a happy customer currently. We rented a vehicle from Alamo at the Detroit airport for a long weekend. We returned it back to Alamo at Detroit airport. When we returned our vehicle we were told our vehicle was listed under someone else’s name who had rented a one-way and the charge was more than double than what our charge should’ve been. They charged our credit card for the other customers fee. I was told they would take care of the error. It’s been a week and I do not see a credit on my card. I understand mistakes do happen, but I would’ve appreciated if this error on my charge card would have been corrected. It’s been almost a week and I’m still dealing with this headache of getting the incorrect charge off my card.

    Beware! Don’t ever misplace or leave behind an item at Alamo Detroit Airport! I left important keys with an airtag in the vehicle I rented out and Alamo’s JOKE of a customer service are giving me the runaround while I try to have them returned to me. Lost and found claims they haven’t located them despite the airtag showing the exact location and me detailing exactly where I left them. If someone actually looked in the vehicle this would all be resolved. Be careful fellow travelers!

    We did the Skip the Counter option. The Premium SUV we reserved wasn't parked in the lines we were directed to, but when we asked, they quickly brought up a suburban for us that worked perfectly. In recent years I have only had two occasions (this one and Las Vegas Enterprise Airport), where the rental personnel personally checked in the car, checked the gas, verbalized the total bill to me BEFORE emailing the final bill, and made eye contact and specifically asked how everything was. THAT is customer service! Good job! (It is very frustrating when companies and hotels simply close out your bill before telling you the total to confirm it is correct, then when it is wrong we have to jump through hoops to correct it.) I really appreciate the customer service provided at check in. The shuttle back to the airport was quick.

    I rented a truck from this company a few weeks ago. I noticed there was a few dings and dents on the truck and took photos according. The rental proceeded without issue and I returned the truck in the exact condition that it was given to me. A little over a week later I get an email stating that there was damage on the vehicle and that I am liable. I informed them that the damage on that vehicle was there when I picked the truck up and sent over the photos I took. They claimed to open a "dispute", after 2 days they email me again and say that they are still holding me liable. No other information was given about there "investigation". I asked for documentation and photos from them proving that the vehicle was not damaged prior to my rental period, they responded telling me that they don't take photos of their vehicles and that they will be going after my insurance company. I took a look at the invoice they sent over for the damages, they are attempting to charge me for every nick and dent on the vehicle, Even the ones that are clearly old and rusted over, totaling out to over $5k. If you rent from this office be careful, take photos and videos of your car before they hand you the keys, Go over it with a fine tooth comb and make sure you get written proof from someone on site that the damage is reported.
