- JDJoan DyerJul 24, 20195.0Our first time ever, we thought we needed a fuse or two, Associate Frank checked for us and all were still good, he looked every where for more fuses because we have a converted van for a wheel chair and have two batteries, he even checked them for us. He finally found the lift fuses and took them out, when he put them all back in the lift started working. Yay Frank would not accept any payment or tip or lunch on us. Ask for Frank he will treat you right, and when he does pay it forward, do a good deed for someone else!!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
