  I went to Autozone to get a new car battery since my car had been sitting outside for a few weeks and I had to jump it. Joe, the worker at Autozone, took it upon himself to ask if he could check the battery first before I spent $ for a new battery that might not be needed. After the check, it was determined a new battery was necessary. I asked if he could replace it even though it was dark outside at this point. He did not hesitate and agreed to change it immediately. Change was successful and I was able to drive off without worry. I want to thank Joe and the cashier at the Canton, MI Autozone for making my day. I appreciate your kindness and willingness to help.   Every time I come to the The AutoZone on Canton Center Road in Canton, I always have an issue. The only time I have ever gotten superb customer service is when the store manager was working that day. I explained to him the poor customer service and he said he would take care of it. Clearly he has not. A young black man with a big diamond or cubic zirconia earring refused to come out and check my headlight because he was the only one in the store, but they were no customers in the store and there were no other cars in the parking lot. I told him I’m gonna go somewhere else if you can’t help me and with a chipper voice, he goes OK and I ended up at O’Reilly’s auto parts where they’re actually installing the bulb for me and the burned connector. O’Reilly‘s auto parts were friendly and they were courteous. The O’Reilly’s here on Ford rd in canton, has heard nothing but horrible things about AutoZone and they’re slowly taking all their customers, and I don’t blame them. I am really glad I went to O’Reillys. Auto Zone, you have lost another customer and I spent about $300 a month.

  Terrible customer service. After asking a specific question regarding which type of coolant for my car, cashier just pointed to a corner of the store where all coolant was, and went back to being on her personal phone. Would not recommend this location due to the poor customer service.

  I would recommend going to ANYWHERE else than this store, unless you love poor customer service! They don’t deserve one star. I have had nothing but bad experiences at this location over the past two years. Problems locating correct items, unknowledgeable staff, and difficulties with returns and warranty swaps. Most recently, I come in for a new car battery. The staff was very slow to locate my correct battery and was unable to explain differences in battery types. Then when I asked about battery installation I was told “Yes we install batteries but we don’t have the staff to do it”. I visually saw 1 manager, and multiple other staff available and I was the only customer in the store. Not sure what was going on but certainly doesn’t make sense when a customer is spending $250+.

  Shon H, is awesome! I had a slight issue with one of the products that I had just purchased, and was not able to get back to the store. I called the store and WITHOUT any hesitation or questions, Shon jumped in her car picked up my defective item and dropped off a replacement to my house. It is that level of customer service that will have me coming back to the AutoZone on Ford rd.!
