- MDmarc duntonSep 7, 20251.0Sold me LED headlamps that aren’t meant for my truck. Tried to return to the store. Associate name Mark looked at open box and quickly said, nope can’t resell so can’t take them back. I explained again they sold them and said they’d work for my truck, but did not. At this point I could tell he wasn’t even listening. He saw open box and he was done considering the return so rather than argue, I left and I contacted corporate Customer service. They wanted me to contact the district manager to try to get refund. Explained how ridiculous this is to go through all the legwork to return an item they incorrectly recommend. Curious, I looked up and I could have bought same lights on Amazon for $30 less….But Amazon actually flags it since won’t fit my truck,,,,and had a return been required, Amazon will definitely not make me escalate and start email chain to drag out for weeks. District Manager made one attempt to contact me over as week later, but then never returned my calls. Try Amazon or another brick and mortar in town. This auto zone incompetent and terrible customer service at store and through corporate . $100 headlamps going to garbage…

I called one day to request a dipstick for my truck, and they were able to order it and have it delivered to the shop by the next morning. When they called me, Angela was especially helpful; she offered to walk the dipstick over to Firestone, where my truck was being aligned. She even offered to have it installed right there. Both Angela and the person who called me went above and beyond in providing excellent service, and I truly appreciate all their efforts. I highly recommend this AutoZone!
