  Today's rental went very smooth. My ride waited for me until I was in the truck. The truck was waiting and ready to go. I called the number on the window. He passed the Paperwork through the key drop, and I was out of there in a few minutes. It was a pleasant experience. Even though it was cold and snowing out. The previous time I rented using this location I had the person who brought me drop me off and leave. It was raining and cold. No one was inside or picked up the phone for an extended period of time. When he finally appeared he couldn't understand me on the phone and there was an issue where we had to cancel and redo the reservation. The price went up. I was cold and wet and miserable and it seemed to take forever. This experience was greatly improved. If I ever use them again and it goes well they'll get more stars. Hopefully the first rental here was just a fluke, and the second one is the norm.

  Not a positive experience. Made reservation 1 week in advance for a 26' truck with lift gate to move our business. Asked for a lift gate and was told that it could not be guaranteed, but if I came first thing in the morning, I would probably be fine. Received a confirmation text 2 days before rental showing a 11:00 a.m. pickup time....we had already discussed a 9:00 a.m. pickup. When I called, they changed the pickup time. Day before reservation received phone call that there was no 26' truck available at all (lift gate or ramp) but they could have one the next day....not really an option when you have a planned move date. Also told that my reservation was for personal use and if I had made it for business use (no one asked what use - business or personal), I could have reserved a lift gate....needless to say, all of that information was not very helpful after the fact. Just made a reservation with Jim Ashmore Truck Rental in Madison Heights - they were very helpful and could guarantee my truck rental type.

  Multiple delays with the rental and truck availability despite customer service promising timely prompt availability. Truck was also very dirty...
