  This rating is based on poor communication throughout the time Gerber had our car. We dropped our car off on Jan 15. The expected time was 18 business days (Feb 10) and the staff promised updates on Tuesday and Thursday. The next day was Thursday, so no update was expected. However, I heard nothing the following week. The first call from them Tuesday, Jan 27. No work had been done on the car yet due to staffing issues. No updates after that. Friday morning, February 6, I called them for an update. I was told the manager would call back in the afternoon with an update. No call received. I called them again on Monday afternoon, Feb 9. I was told no work had been done on the car, but they hoped to start it that week. In other words, they initially promised a completion date of Feb 10, but as of Feb 9 no work had been done on the car AND they only told me that on Feb 9. This realization seemed to spark them into action. I received a coupled calls as the car was worked on. The work was done on Feb 23. The repair was done well, with the exception of a piece of loose trim which was quickly fixed before I left. If you say you will call with updates, then do what you said you would do. If you are unable to meet the completion date, provide that information sooner.

  Second vehicle I brought to them that had been in accident. The ladies up front where knowledgeable and great to work with, the unsung heros in the shop do fantastic work as well.

  Nicole and her team were excellent, and I'm glad I decided to work with them. Repairs ended up being finished a week and a half early, and the final cost came in just a hair under the initial estimate. I was kept updated throughout the process, which was a pleasant surprise. They also work directly with the Enterprise down the road, so it made swapping out for a rental very easy.

  I drive an older vehicle 2004 in fact but in like new condition. I had pride in that vehicle so I kept full coverage insurance on it. There was a very minor accident so I took it to them for repair. The estimator wrote my car up as to total it. The only damage was to a fender, a signal light and the bumper cover. I know this because I was an auto mechanic for 50 years and I know cars. When she realized it wasn't going to be a high dollar quick flip, she padded the estimate so it would exceed the value of my car thus being totaled. I fixed the car myself for under 1000.00 dollars. What really gets to me is the fact that I can no longer get full coverage on my car because it is listed as a total. If you have a minor fender bender don't go to Gerber because they're not interested unless they can make the big money on newer vehicles. I know the car business, I've only been doing it longer than the "estimator" has been alive!
