  I called ahead and was quoted $59.99 for a full synthetic oil change. However, when I arrived, the employee showed me a price on his screen of $106–$108. When I explained that I had called earlier in the week and was told about the $59.99 special, he immediately asked whether it was through Groupon. I told him no, even though I had in fact received a Groupon offer for the same price just a few days earlier. The interaction felt unprofessional and frustrating. If the business is offering the service at $59.99 through Groupon, it would make sound business sense to honor that same price for walk-in customers. Groupon takes a percentage and pays businesses on net-30 terms, meaning the shop would likely make more profit by honoring the in-house special directly. Matching the advertised promotional price would demonstrate good faith and customer appreciation. Instead, I felt as though the price was being artificially inflated, which wasted my time and left a poor impression. I chose to decline the service and leave. I have been a regular customer and typically service three vehicles at this location. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere. It’s disappointing to see pricing handled this way rather than in a transparent and customer-focused manner.

  The guys went out of their way to help me when I needed. Whole team was great, manager and team members. I cant thank them enough. They did more than I could have asked to get me out of a pinch

  First time going and it was great service. Dustin runs a tight ship and it shows. The only place I’ll go moving forward! Took the online coupon too.

  I have always had a good experience with Valvoline! Dustin at the Ann Arbor location was amazing and thoroughly answered my questions. Really appreciate the service they do!

  Valvoline in Ann Arbor Michigan has exceptional employees! They are professional, kind and courteous. Dan did an excellent job of explaining everything I needed and that was recommended for my vehicle. He was very patient when I asked questions and was helpful. Ramon changed a brake light for me. Bless his soul because I know from experience what a pain that is with my car! I asked about an oil leak that my car has and Darion, Dustin and Kari took a look at it for me and gave suggestions on where the problem may be coming from. I really appreciated how wonderful everyone was! Most importantly, they were all all patient, kind and understanding! I was greeted when I pulled in and that's always a plus for me because there are so many businesses that seem to stopped emphasizing customer service skills and how far kindness and simple manners go. When it comes to any kind of services today, whether it be going to a restaurant, a store, whatever it may be, people more often than not are so rude and always seem aggrivated! You are rarely greeted and you are rushed. I didn't feel like that at all with any of the employees I dealt with at this store. Everyone was patient, friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this store to anyone!
