Admittedly, I am not very knowledgeable of car mechanics and never know if the repairs are really needed at this moment or if the dealership is recommending things to be fixed before it’s really necessary. Hard to know. Based on the recommendation of the technician I did not do everything, but did enough items on the list that tallied up to be $3500. The technician was professional and communicative.

It was fine, however when I picked up my car, the infotainment system was not working, rear view camera wouldn’t activate and no sound came out of the speakers with the signal. I was a bit irritated that they didn’t notice this when they deemed the service “done” especially because when I brought my car in for general maintenance it wasn’t having any issues. I then had to stay at the dealership for an additional hour while they fixed this issue. I was told at the end there was a recall on software that they didn’t catch in the initial inspection which is fine, but someone should have caught that the infotainment system was not working prior to me arriving. Considering these are luxury cars and customers pay a lot to purchase them AND maintain them, I would expect a more thorough and streamlined service that does not rely on the customer to bring their car back and point out issues that were missed.

- JSJoe SatchmoDec 11, 20255.0I found the service department at Sesi Volvo in Ann Arbor to be very professionally run, especially compared to Lafontaine Volvo in Farmington Hills who I used to use to service my vehicle. I do not recommend Lafontaine. This was my first experience with Sesi and it was a good one so I’m switching to them. It’s never fun and always expensive taking your car to the dealer especially if you own a euro car like a Volvo. However, the service was done promptly and courteously and there was no effort to try and upsell me on repairs or maintenance that were not needed. For how much I spent I would have appreciated it if my car was able to be delivered to me after the repairs were made but a driver did come out to my home and transport me back to the dealer so I could pick up my car.
