Dave Moore at Northwood Boat Works did an outstanding job remanufacturing the raw water circulating pump for our 1978 27’ Tartan sailboat. The workmanship was excellent, the attention to detail was clear, and he delivered exactly what he promised. It’s hard to find that level of skill and reliability these days, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Highly recommend!

Dave is “Master” of the Chris Craft World! We purchased a 1962 16 ft Chris Craft Ski Boat. Our boat needed some TLC and we found Dave-searching and hoping for the best place for Chris Craft repair/maintenance. We were not disappointed. Dave took on our project. He took copious notes on what he found, told us what he thought we should do, and then he got to work. We knew we were in good hands because we could see the passion Dave has for his craft. (His knowledge can not be challenged.) He covered every inch of the boat. When all was said and done; we were able to take the boat out on a nearby lake. Dave took us through the paces, showing us what he did and why, and how to “love” our boat in the future. He also tweaked our trailer so that the boat would have a safe journey home. We are now enjoying our boat on Lake Maxincuckee thanks to Dave.

Dave was very helpful in helping me restore my Graymarine engine Phantom 4-45. I had quite a few issues to solve for which he either suggested a solution, or found parts to replace broken ones. Having my boat and engine in Europe, he is the perfect contact in the U.S.

Being a novice at most mechanical things and acquiring a 1939 Chris Craft Barrel back by sheer luck, Dave took the time and patience to explain to me the workings of the boat. He made me feel like I was his only customer! I felt guilty the amount of time he spent on the phone explaining what I should be educated about, I tried to get him to charge me a consulting fee, which he would not. He is a true craftsman, there's not a lot of people around anymore that have that kind of knowledge and passion for their career.

Many thanks to Dave Moore and Northwood Boatworks for diagnosing and repairing manifold and transmission problems on my 1947 Deluxe Runabout. Dave also gave me valuable advice on DIY bottom repair and showed me the proper way to winterize the boat this fall.
