- LCLiv ChaffeeJul 21, 20251.0I broke down right in front of wells auto in my van that I live in and run my business out of. Luckily I was able to get it into their parking lot on a Sunday. I felt bad/sad/nervous abandoning my van there but I didn’t have a choice so I left a note with the keys and called first thing in the morning and apologized & explained the situation. Eric was pretty grumpy and not very kind but he came highly recommended by a local friend so I was trying to trust the process. I waited and heard nothing. I even went by to introduce myself in person. The next day Eric called and said my transmission was completely gone and he didn’t even pull it into the bay because they don’t do transmission work and that I needed to get it towed off his lot. It couldn’t have taken him more than 2 minutes to figure that out so I just wish he could have made the time to give it a quick once over sooner because it would have saved me 2 days of anxiety and waiting. I live and work out of my van so 2 days is like an eternity. I just moved to the area and I’ve heard Eric does good work but I will find someone else to be my go to mechanic and I would encourage others to do the same. A little kindness goes a long way.
