Everything was great as far as service and app and the function of the unit.
The email response does not exist, it says 1 business day but I haven’t gotten any response to multiple emails over the coarse of 9 days. The instructions for device removal are not correct and getting the device out is posing to be a multi week process, maybe longer, still trying.
I changed my rating on this because after I wrote it I got a response. That response was quick, very thorough and all negative things that had happened were taken care of completely. Patricia took everything and righted it all in about 36 hours!
Thank you for stepping up and doing an excellent job!

Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock
How does an interlock device work?
An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. To read more on Intoxalock, you can read our ignition interlock device guide.
What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?
The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
How do I use my interlock device?
Using an IID is simple. To start your vehicle, blow into the device as directed. If the device detects no alcohol, your car will start. You may be prompted for "rolling retests" while driving, where you’ll blow into the device again to confirm compliance. How-to videos are also available on the Intoxalock mobile app.

Installing an ignition interlock device typically takes 1-2 hours, depending on your vehicle type. Certified technicians ensure the device is properly installed and provide you with training on how to use it. Contact Intoxalock for an appointment and an accurate time estimate for your installation.
What happens if I fail a breath test on my ignition interlock device?
If you fail a breath test, your vehicle will not start, and the device will log the event. Depending on your state’s regulations, multiple failed tests may trigger additional penalties, such as lockouts or reporting to your monitoring authority. Intoxalock devices allow you to retest after a short wait if alcohol is no longer detected. Always follow your state’s guidelines to remain compliant.
Can I install an ignition interlock device in a vehicle I don’t own?
