The tech was over 2 hours late from the scheduled time.he was supposed to arrive. No phone call,no apology for being late. He was rude. When he left to drive the car he was gone over an hour. Not sure if the process takes that long because he never bothered to go er the process when he first arrived! I don't know if I will use them again.

They caused 4 sensors to pop up after the work and now I need to take my Tesla to a dealership more than 200 miles away. An issue that did not predate the work, which was a simple replacement of the glass.

Very bad experience! Technician showed up late and slapped it on just before dark, otherwise, he planned to use lights and work in the dark. No regards for temperature and humidity and used this industrial strength glass cleaner (like Windex on steroids ) in and outside my car which stunk for two days, even with the windows rolled down all night.
I got dizzy just from trying to move the car out of the hot sun to a shaded parking spot to help the urethane glue cure which (unlike what they say here at this local shop in Maine), usually takes up to 48 hours, and 50 degree night weather, coupled with 100 percent humidity is not ideal with hot sun the next day and a major weather swing, not to mention the 'lovely' road conditions here in Maine. The car sits outside.
To top off the iffy windshield replacement, my rear view mirror was permanently stained by what I suspect to be from that heavy duty chemical glass cleaner they used freely--even on the dashboard and paint. It left some kind of coagulating goo both times they applied that stuff on my rearview mirror, as another technician who told me he trained the first technician, came out to look, and was obviously on the defense, negating every word I said, on every thing I discussed too.
After the second time I took pictures to prove that it was a topical snot-like goo, not originating internally from the last excuse they argued with me (regional manager too) and totally ignored my point that it wasn't coming from the inside and I took pictures before cleaning it after the second time it happened too. After I cleaned it thoroughly both times with water and a paper towel, no more goo, so go figure.
I have used Safelite in the past in various parts of the US, and they always did a perfect job and never used that stinky glass cleaner either, but after my experience with this location--never again! Maybe that horrible glass cleaner is affecting their thinking, they've been whiffing it too long. I was told by the 2nd technician that it smells like flowers...yeah, right!
I also noticed that there are tiny scratches on the new windshield which I chose to live with rather than going through the replacement cycle again, as well as, some kind of spots which may also be from that glass cleaner, as I am unsure what that is either and noticed it after a hard rain on the windshield. I am hoping/blaming the rain because I know that is what they will tell me--more excuses. They should all be in the used car business in one of those seedy little roadside car dealerships. I am almost afraid to look too closely, and at this point, I am praying that the windshield doesn't leak and will perform in the event of an accident.
So if you notice some issues with staining goo, intense chemical smell in your car, or an assortment of other odd events after they installed a windshield in your car, you just might have an answer here...and so much for their sketchy warranty...good luck with that one!
