- CECale Ellis3 days ago5.0I went to my local parts store on a Thursday night desperate for a wheel bearing. The only store that had one was the Mexico branch. An hour away. The new hours are 8pm it was 704p I had maybe enough time. After a hectic drive I arrived at the store after closing time. The gentleman had just locked up. He noticed me try to pull on the door. He (Dylan)came over to see what was up. He could tell I was desperate. I told him I'd just driven an hour needed a part he had. My truck was down. He asked if I was using a card. Im guessing they'd finished cashing out. He brought me in to help me out. This is not what I'm used to. The employees going above and beyond are nearly none existent. He was great to deal with I was so appreciative. People like this can make the difference in your whole day sometimes. Thank you again Dylan and this was absolutely a 5 star experience. So if anyone is in the Mexico area and needs parts see Dylan at Advance Auto

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
