My experience with the Waldorf Safelite location was extremely disappointing. I dropped off my Tesla on February 5th for a windshield replacement and calibration. At pickup, I was told calibration couldn’t be completed because a “cord” was left in an employee’s personal vehicle. I was assured they ordered a new one and would call me with updates—no one ever did.
A week later, I returned in person and was told there was no ETA and no tracking information, which made no sense. Shortly after leaving, my rearview mirror began leaking during a car wash. When I returned, a tech confirmed the windshield was misaligned.
I was sent to the Capitol Heights location on February 19th, where the team—especially Natasha and Dilmer—was professional and transparent. They discovered the fan had been installed incorrectly, the windshield was misaligned, and multiple components needed replacement. They fixed everything the same day once insurance approved it.
I later confirmed with Tesla that my vehicle self-calibrates and does not require a cord, contradicting what Waldorf told me. It’s clear the Waldorf staff were not honest about the issue and failed to take responsibility for their poor installation and lack of communication.
Capitol Heights was excellent, but the Waldorf location was unprofessional, misleading, and caused unnecessary safety risks and inconvenience.
