Kyle, the representative, called me directly to confirm. I explained that we would need the vehicle later in the afternoon (around 2:30–3pm) because we’d had a very long, difficult night. Kyle acknowledged this and said he understood. At 3pm, my daughter called to let him know she had a ride and was on her way to pick up the car. Shockingly, Kyle told her no cars were available and that “we should have called earlier.” This was never mentioned during our phone call that morning. What exactly did we need to “call about” when we had already confirmed the reservation hours earlier? When I called myself to clarify, Kyle doubled down and repeated that we should have called sooner. Again, despite the fact that we had spoken that morning. To add insult to injury, when I asked if he could check availability at other Enterprise locations, he told me I could call around myself. So to recap: we had a confirmed reservation, we communicated clearly, and Kyle still refused to honor it, then pushed the burden back onto us in the middle of an already stressful situation. Completely unprofessional, dismissive, and unhelpful. Enterprise, you failed us when we needed you most.
