    I am writing to formally express my frustration regarding a recent windshield replacement performed by Safelite. The installation itself went smoothly, and the technician who completed the work was professional and courteous. I was satisfied with the service at that time. Unfortunately, just a few weeks later, the windshield is now leaking and requires warranty repair. The greater issue, however, has been my inability to reach anyone at Safelite to resolve this problem. I attempted to contact customer service by phone during posted business hours (11:00 a.m. EST on a Wednesday). I was routed through an automated call system that repeatedly failed to understand my responses. After following the prompts and being transferred to customer service, the phone rang and then a recorded message stated that no one was available to take my call and directed me to use the website. When I logged into my Safelite account online and attempted to schedule a warranty repair, the system informed me that I must call customer service to proceed. This creates an unreasonable situation: the website directs customers to call, while the phone system directs customers back to the website — with no live assistance available. I have now spent several hours attempting to resolve what should be a straightforward warranty claim. It is extremely frustrating to encounter such barriers when trying to obtain service for an issue that falls under Safelite’s own warranty. While the field technician provided excellent service, the current customer service and automated support system are unacceptable. Customers should be able to reach a live representative — especially when dealing with warranty repairs.

    Aaron was wonderful. He was able to come to my work the day after I noticed my windshield was chipped. He was good at communicating, asking questions if he was unsure about something (ie how big the crack was, where my car was parked) and made sure the job was done correctly. I really like this company because it is clearly run by humans. You don’t have to go through an automated customer service phone line or app in order to get the job done or find out when your appointment is. There is just clear, concise, direct communication and the job gets done.

    I made an appointment through GEICO. When I arrived, a tech greeted me and took my key. Within 5 minutes, my vehicle was inside the shop. I think it was out of the shop within another 15 minutes or so, and I was down the road. It couldn't get much better than that.
