- THTaylor H5 days ago1.0I was having car troubles while traveling for the holiday. Each time I would drive long distances, it started getting jumpy around two hours in. I took my car to a shop a couple hours away from Salisbury and they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it because there was no check engine light on and it was driving fine for them. The first shop also told me that my transmission fluid and everything was looking fine. On the way home, the check engine light came on and it began being jumpy consistently, so I took it to Pohanka. Pohanka quoted me $2600 to fix it and said the transmission fluid was black and no longer good, even though two days prior it was fine. This made me suspicious of them, so I decided to go elsewhere. Pohanka still charged me $110 for the diagnostic fee. I ended up getting my car towed to Burnett White where they diagnosed and fixed it for $800. Some of the things that Pohanka was trying to charge me for were not even wrong with my vehicle. Needless to say, I do not trust Pohanka in their assessment of the issue and their criminally high prices.

When i spoke with their salesman i told him there 2 small blemishes on the exterior. He said that wouldn't affect the price much. I made sure because I had to drive over an hour the get there and with my buddy following in his car. When I got there they looked over my car and gave me an offer of $2400. I had a body shop look at the small dings and said it wouldn't be over $1000 to fix them. They wasted all my time for nothing. They'll lure you into coming to their dealership with false promises.
