Went to this store on 9-30-24, needing some lug nuts to replace the ones I had on a vehicle (long story about that but it doesn't matter). So was speaking with a guy at the register as he looked up my vehicle info. I also brought one off the vehicle to compare. We looked at several and none seemed to be exactly the same as the one I had, which is stock. He told me if they don't fit I can return them. Then he showed me some "aftermarket" ones in plastic packaging on a rack. One there looked very much like what I had with me off the vehicle but I couldn't be certain looking at it in the package. He again told me I could return it if it wasn't right. So I suggested I'd pay for it, then we could open it there and if it looked like it wouldn't fit he could refund me without having to make another trip. As I was carefully cutting the package open another guy (manager -50s to 60 y.o., 5'5" or so, grey hair... didn't get name and he later refused to tell me) showed up and said "Now that they are open you can't get a refund". I told him I was told I could, and he said no and walked out of the store. I went out to see if we could resolve this but he insisted he would not refund me. I told him he needs to train his employees and told him I'd leave a bad review on Yelp and he said "go ahead". Then I told him I'd also call his regional office and he ignored me walking back inside refusing to give me his name. So, it's a matter of principle and I called the regional office. Nice lady there understood, said I certainly could return them and "it happens all the time things like that returned open". She said she would talk to him. I returned them and finally got my refund, but what a stupid situation and lack of customer service. I had earlier ordered a complete set from a seller on Ebay which also didn't fit. I contacted the seller who refunded me immediately and said "no need to return the items". That is real customer service.

Man Ive been using the South Salisbury AutoZone for years its my go to store, ir it was anyway. I dont know what happened or why most of not all the original staff are no longer there but Ive heard plenty. Ever since the older man and the people who worked with him have left this store has completely went down the drain. Call for something and what should have been a few min call turns into 20 mins at least trying to get them to be able to find the part even when your giving them the part number from their app. God forbid you want to pay over the phone, that is lile asking them to solve mystery behind life itself. To top it all off , every single time they make a mistake they have the nerve get an attitude with the customer. Seems like upper management needs to shadow this store or something.
